Afghan Refugee Donation Center

Our Donation Center is now closed.

We would like to thank the City of Alameda and Alameda Point Collaborative for providing space for us to work out of.

In the last year and a half, we were able to support around one thousand individuals. Most of these individuals were new Afghan arrivals but we also provided support to new arrivals from Central America and other parts of the world.

We would also like to thank all our volunteers and donors for making this project possible. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing community.

UAA’s Afghan Refugee Donation Center was provided by Alameda Point Collaborative with the assistance of Alameda City Officials. It is located in Alameda, CA. The center serves as our main donation and storage facility for refugee donation packages.

Collected goods are gathered and distributed from the center to newly re-settling Afghan refugees throughout Northern California.

Donations include but are not limited to clothing, undergarments, shoes, toiletries, hygiene kits, baby items, toys, books, religious attire, household items and furniture.

These donations have been made possible through community lead drives, our Amazon Wishlist, collaboration with local businesses, partnerships with non profits, etc.

The Afghan newcomers we are supporting have been resettled in the following cities:

Alameda, Antioch, Berkeley, Carmichael, Concord, Daly City, Elk Grove, Fremont, Hayward, Lathrop, Livermore, Mountain House, Mountain View, Oakland, Pacifica, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Leandro, San Ramon, Tracy and Turlock.
